African Union hopes to defeat famine by 2025
The African Union hopes to defeat hunger by 2025 and shares the goals of the UN to combat the world food crisis, the portal Today News Africa reports on February 10. The statement was made several times at the summit of the 55 States bloc in Addis Ababa. The President of Madagascar, Andri Radzuelina, stated that the goal of defeating hunger was not impossible. Ivory Coast President Alassane Ouattara called on Africa to make the fight against hunger and food crises on the continent the main theme of the 2021 summit.
