Customs officers of Uzbekistan stopped smuggling of medicines

Illegal trafficking of medicines in the Syrdarya region of Uzbekistan was stopped by employees of the State Customs Committee, the press service of the Ministry reported. Officers from the Smuggling and Customs Offences Unit found a shipment of medicines in a Chevrolet Cobalt car. The total value of the cargo is estimated at 69.4 million sum ($7,286). In addition, customs officials have identified another smuggling shipment of biologically active additives in the city of Guliston. The total value of the smuggled cargo was 66 million sum ($6,930). According to the news agency, in early February employees of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan stopped the illegal export of unique coins of the 19th century.
