Niger Armed Forces eliminated about 50 Boko Haram fighters *
At least 50 terrorists belonging to Boko Haram (an organization whose activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation) were destroyed in Niger. This is reported by the Air Force Africa with reference to the report of the Ministry of Defence of Niger. A military statement reported that Islamist militants had attacked an army outpost in the southeastern village of Tummur using 20 vehicles, but their attack was repulsed. One soldier of the Niger armed forces was wounded in the counter-attack. Troops pursued retreating Boko Haram fighters (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) to the shores of Lake Chad, capturing several people along with vehicles and weapons, and eliminating at least 50 of them. According to reporters, the Lake Chad region has been repeatedly attacked by Boko Haram fighters (an organization banned in the Russian Federation) for the past five years.
