Kyrgyz President urges to focus on increasing exports to China
Kyrgyzstan was able to demonstrate good performance in increasing agricultural exports to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. This was stated by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov, speaking at a parliamentary meeting today, June 30. According to the head of state, the number of Kyrgyz enterprises supplying their products to other EAEU countries has increased almost 7 times from 21 enterprises in 2017 to 140 enterprises in 2020. Zheenbekov also noted that local producers should not be limited to the markets of the Eurasian and European Alliances. We need to take full advantage of the opportunities to enter the market of neighboring China. The government's efforts in this direction should be continuous, the President of Kyrgyzstan emphasized and added that the export of Kyrgyz goods to China in 2019 grew immediately by 25%.
