100 patients with COVID-19 - Ministry of Health can be treated simultaneously in Abkhazia

The health system of Abkhazia is able to provide simultaneous treatment for only 100 patients with COVID-19. This was announced on July 27 on Abkhaz television by Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic Alkhas Konjaria. He noted that the country is ready to treat those who contracted coronavirus, but resources are limited. At the same time, severe patients who will need mechanical ventilation, we can take in about 100 people, taking into account the number of IVL and the team of doctors, Konjaria said. The deputy minister added that in the case of a large number of severe cases, doctors will also become infected, which are still not enough. Konjaria called for maximum efforts to be sent to control at the border in order to eliminate the likelihood of a mass import of coronavirus into the country. Recall that the authorities of Abkhazia are discussing with Moscow the opening of the border for Russian tourists who want to visit Abkhaz resorts.
