126 new coronavirus carriers identified in Albania

The Albanian Ministry of Health on Sunday, July 26, reported that over the past 24 hours, a survey of 504 people in the country revealed 126 new cases of coronavirus infection. At the same time, another 45 people were recognized as cured. This was reported by the Albanian news agency Lapsi. In total, 4,763 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Albania. 2,682 people have already been cured of COVID-19. 138 patients died from complications caused by COVID-19. Over the past day, four patients died. Treatment is carried out by 1943 people. The number of active infections and patients in serious condition continues to increase. The largest number of active infections is in Tirana, Durres, Shkodra and Vlora. There are 112 people on inpatient treatment, of which 19 are undergoing intensive therapy, and 7 are connected to IVL devices. Journalists note that the ability of the authorities and residents of the country to comply with strict measures has already been exhausted. The country is waiting for an influx of tourists, which will help at least somehow mitigate the economic crisis in the country. Nevertheless, most European countries included Albania in the list of countries undesirable to visit. Travel agencies are forced to return funds to customers who refused their services, and go to a loss: compared to last year, the level of tourism revenues is only 1%.
