In the United States, put up for sale a rare copy of BMW 3.0 CSL

On the American online site Bring a Trailer, a rare lot of the 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL sports car appeared (3.0 CS modification). This was reported on the company's website. This car was created to participate in the European Touring Car Championship. In total, 169 such cars were manufactured by the German automaker. For 48 years, the car has undergone many improvements. In the late 1970s, a sports car was bought by a collector from the United States. In the 90s, the model was repainted black, and three-color stripes appeared on the sides of the body. In the same period, the car was equipped with a new 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine M30B35. The original three-liter engine is now sold with a car complete. In 2014, the Getrag five-position mechanical transmission was installed in the model. The initial price of the lot at an online auction is 115 thousand dollars (about 8.3 million rubles). Earlier in the US state of Texas, the only Ferrari SP30 supercar of its kind was put up for sale in 2012. The body of the car is painted red.
