Russian instructors began training the military of Tajikistan
At the 201st military base of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, stationed in Tajikistan, training of junior military specialists for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan began. This was announced on July 3 by the press service of the Central Military District of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The training of 500 junior military personnel of Tajikistan under the summer training program began simultaneously at two training complexes Lyaur and Sambuli. The course, which includes training in 14 military specialties, is designed for a period of three months. Upon completion, the cadets will perform control firing from standard weapons of combat vehicles, small arms and grenade launchers. As noted in the report of the military department, the training of Tajik military personnel is carried out on the basis of the Agreement on the stay of the Russian military base in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan. Recall, located in two cities of Tajikistan, Dushanbe and Bokhtar, the 201st military base is the largest military facility in Russia beyond its borders. The agreement signed in 2012 involves the deployment of a base in Tajikistan until 2042.
